Some people are born with talents and some acquire them through their hard work. One of such people is Anangsha (read : Rhea), a trained classical singer, swimmer, baseball player, ball-badminton player, tennis player, photographer, pianist, trained in sketching and the list is endless. Let’s meet this very celebrity of Miranda House in this short interaction with her.

Ques.  What interests you the most in all the things that you do?

Ans.    Tennis. I started playing tennis when I was five years old and I remember hating it back then. I used to play it only because my Dad wanted it but eventually, began to love it. It’s like when you are great at something, you can not imagin your life without it, and for me that is tennis.

Ques.  What are the interests that are closest to your heart apart from tennis?

Ans.    Swimming and Photography.

Ques.  Who gets the credit of shaping as the person you are?

Ans.    Sports. If I was not a sportsperson, I wouldn’t have been anywhere.

Ques.  Could you tell us one of the best and the worst incidents of your life?

Ans.    I have had a lot of them. Innumerable bad moments and each moment in my college was the best.

Ques.  What has been the turning point in your life?

Ans.    I won all the competitions for two consecutive years. I was rank 1 in Tennis for 2 years and that’s when I started liking my game. Tennis plays a very significant role in making me the person I am today. If I had not won those competitions, I would have given up on tennis.

Ques.  Would you like to share with us one of the most memorable moments of your college life?

Ans.    Too many memories in Miranda. Everyday used to be so good, cheerful and lively. I have had my best days in Miranda

Ques.  What role has your family played in shaping your personality?

Ans.    My family is my backbone. They have always encouraged me. My Mom taught me the value of struggle and my Dad taught me to always focus on achieving my aim.

Ques.  What perception did you have when you came here, to a girl’s college, and how  has it changed ?

Ans.    I was depressed. I was like ‘Where am I going?’, ‘Girls would be mean’ and all the other stereotypes. Now, I can not put it into a phrase. The campus, the teachers, the crowd is so good. Every. Single. Thing. Is. Amazing.

Ques.  Would you mind sharing your favourite picture here with me?

Ans.    There is no one favourite picture. Every picture that I have clicked in Miranda have a beautiful memory attached. Hence, all those pictures are very close to my heart.
